Non Surgical Spinal Decompression
Non-surgical spinal decompression(DRX9000) is appropriate for individuals who are over the age of 18 and have persistent or recurrent pain. If you have degenerative disc disease, herniated discs, bulging discs, or have failed back surgery syndrome, you may qualify for this treatment.
The treatments typically take between 20-30 minutes and you will have these sessions for several weeks. Depending on your progress, we may decrease these sessions as the pain or condition decreases.
If you choose non-surgical spinal decompression for your condition, you may start to feel a reduction in your symptoms and pain within the first week. A more notable change is typically felt in the second week of your care plan, depending naturally on your condition.

Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression
For patients dealing with chronic lower back pain or neck pain related to certain disc conditions, non-surgical spinal decompression may offer a treatment option without surgery. The DRX9000 uses computer-controlled decompression to target specific areas of the spine.
Why Spinal Discs Matter
Over time, injury and degeneration can weaken spinal discs. In some cases, discs may bulge or herniate and contribute to symptoms such as back pain, neck pain, leg pain or sciatica.
Non-surgical spinal decompression is intended to gently distract the involved spinal segment and create reduced pressure within the disc. The practice uses the DRX9000 because the system allows treatment to be directed toward specific spinal levels.
Whether decompression is appropriate depends on the individual condition, examination findings and medical history. A consultation and evaluation are used to determine candidacy.
How Decompression Works
The DRX9000 uses computer-controlled traction to gently separate targeted spinal segments. The goal is to create negative pressure within the disc and reduce mechanical stress on nearby structures.
Who May Be A Candidate?
Not every patient is appropriate for this treatment. Dr. Wilson evaluates each case before recommending a decompression plan.
What Treatment Is Like
Once Dr. Wilson determines that decompression may be appropriate, the team explains the treatment, prepares you for the table and reviews what to do at home to support the care plan.
