Meet Dr. Richard S. Wilson
Dr. Richard Wilson is a Connecticut-licensed Doctor of Chiropractic with more than 25 years of experience caring for patients with acute and chronic spinal pain, injuries and related musculoskeletal conditions.
Background & Experience
Dr. Richard Wilson earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the National University of Health Sciences. He later obtained a Master of Science in Human Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport. He is also a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner and an active member of the Institute of Functional Medicine.
Over the course of his career, Dr. Wilson has worked with thousands of patients dealing with conditions including sciatica, spinal stenosis, herniated discs, bulging discs, degenerative disc problems, motor vehicle injuries, whiplash, physical trauma, neck pain, back pain, headaches and work-related injuries.
His practice emphasizes non-surgical strategies, including spinal decompression and laser therapy, along with one-on-one care in a private setting. His approach is centered on helping patients understand their condition and the treatment options available to them.
Training & Credentials
Dr. Wilson's background combines chiropractic education, graduate-level nutrition training and certification in treatment approaches used for patients with spinal and musculoskeletal problems.
His Approach
Dr. Wilson's approach uses in-depth intake, evaluation and diagnostic information to build an individualized plan rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all model.
New patients undergo consultation and evaluation, with diagnostic imaging used when appropriate to help clarify the underlying problem.
Treatment plans may incorporate spinal manipulation, non-surgical spinal decompression and laser therapy based on the patient's presentation and needs.
Dr. Wilson emphasizes personal interaction, patient education and practical strategies designed to support progress outside the office as well.
Conditions He Commonly Sees
Dr. Wilson's experience includes patients with both long-standing symptoms and newer injuries, including those related to motor vehicle crashes, work injuries and physical trauma.
