Shockwave Therapy
Shockwave therapy is one of the technologies offered by the practice and may be considered for selected musculoskeletal or soft-tissue complaints when clinically appropriate.
Hip Pain Care
Hip discomfort can involve the joint itself, surrounding muscles and tendons, or sometimes pain referred from the lower back. Modern Spine Health and Injury Care begins with an individual evaluation to determine what may be contributing to your symptoms and which conservative care options may be appropriate.
A focused examination can help distinguish a local hip problem from symptoms that may be related to the lower back or surrounding soft tissues.
Understanding Hip Pain
Hip pain may be felt in the groin, outer hip, buttock or nearby areas. Some people notice stiffness, aching or pain with walking, standing, climbing stairs, getting out of a chair or lying on one side.
Because hip symptoms can overlap with lower-back and soft-tissue problems, the first step is determining which findings appear most relevant to the complaint.
A major injury, inability to bear weight, obvious deformity, sudden severe pain, fever with a hot or swollen joint, or other emergency symptoms should be evaluated promptly.
What May Be Involved
Changes within the hip joint can be associated with stiffness, aching and discomfort during weight-bearing or repeated movement.
Tendons and other soft tissues around the hip can become irritated from overuse, repetitive loading, activity or injury.
Muscles surrounding the hip and pelvis contribute to stability and movement, and irritation or altered mechanics may affect how the area feels and functions.
Not every symptom felt around the hip begins in the hip joint. Lower-back or nerve-related problems can sometimes produce pain into the hip or buttock region.

Hip Pain
Non-surgical spinal decompression(DRX9000) is appropriate for individuals who are over the age of 18 and have persistent or recurrent pain. If you have degenerative disc disease, herniated discs, bulging discs, or have failed back surgery syndrome, you may qualify for this treatment.
The treatments typically take between 20-30 minutes and you will have these sessions for several weeks. Depending on your progress, we may decrease these sessions as the pain or condition decreases.
If you choose non-surgical spinal decompression for your condition, you may start to feel a reduction in your symptoms and pain within the first week. A more notable change is typically felt in the second week of your care plan, depending naturally on your condition.
