Neuropathy

Non Surgical Spinal Decompression works by decompressing the injured disc of your spine, leading to a negative pressure within the disc. This technology is quite advanced because we can target the exact discs which are causing your problem.

The DRX9000.

If you are suffering with chronic lower back pain or chronic neck pain, you may benefit from a surgical alternative known as non surgical decompression therapy. Discover the DRX9000.

Over time, whether there is injury or neglect, the spinal discs in our back begin to degenerate, very similar to a garden not getting water. When this happens, the discs become weak, and can tear causing a herniation.

If these disc injuries are not corrected, continued degeneration occurs until the disc becomes arthritic leading to symptoms such as back pain, leg pain, sciatica and even neuropathy.

Non Surgical Spinal Decompression using the DRX9000 works by gently distracting these injured discs so as to allow nutrients to be brought back into the disc. Once this occurs, natural healing processes can occur.

How Decompression Works.

Non Surgical Spinal Decompression works by gently decompressing the injured disc of your spine, leading to a negative pressure within the disc. The technology is quite advanced because we can target specific discs which are causing your problem.

The DRX9000 has the capability to treat only those injured discs, leaving other discs alone.

Essentially, this negative pressure creates a vacuum like effect which reduces the herniation. The reduction of the herniation leads to a reduction in pressure off the nerve root. Once this is stabilized, your back pain or leg pain symptoms will be alleviated.

The Process.

Once your case is evaluated and treatment will begin the following steps are initiated. On your first visit you will meet each of our staff and you will be instructed on what is going to happen during treatment that day, and you will also be educated on what you should and should not be doing at home to help your recovery process.

When you start treatment on the DRX9000, you will be fitted with an upper and lower harness. Then, you will stand upright against the machine bed, while our staff slowly lowers you to a more flatten position. If you have trouble lying on your back, don’t worry. This position will be temporary as we provide a knee booster prior to treatment commencing. While on the DRX9000 the specialized computer-controlled table relaxes you. Treatment takes 20-30 minutes, and your treatment plan will be customized to your individual needs and symptoms.

Frequently Asked Questions.

Who Qualifies For Spinal Decompression?

Non-surgical spinal decompression(DRX9000) is appropriate for individuals who are over the age of 18 and have persistent or recurrent pain.  If you have degenerative disc disease, herniated discs, bulging discs, or have failed back surgery syndrome, you may qualify for this treatment.

How Long Does The Treatment Take?

The treatments typically take between 20-30 minutes and you will have these sessions for several weeks.  Depending on your progress, we may decrease these sessions as the pain or condition decreases.

When Will I See Results?

If you choose non-surgical spinal decompression for your condition, you may start to feel a reduction in your symptoms and pain within the first week.  A more notable change is typically felt in the second week of your care plan, depending naturally on your condition.

Neuropathy Care

Burning, tingling or numbness can have more than one cause.

Neuropathy describes symptoms related to nerve dysfunction, often including numbness, tingling, burning, altered sensation or weakness. Modern Spine Health and Injury Care begins with an evaluation to better understand the pattern of symptoms and whether a musculoskeletal or spine-related factor may be contributing.

Numbness • Tingling • Burning • Weakness

Neuropathy is a symptom pattern — not one single diagnosis.

The cause matters. An evaluation can help determine whether symptoms may be related to the spine, peripheral nerves, or another condition that needs medical evaluation.

Evaluation First The distribution and character of symptoms can help guide the next step.
Conservative Options Spinal decompression, chiropractic care and laser therapy may be considered when the findings support their use.
Individualized Plan Not every neuropathy complaint is treated the same way because the underlying causes can differ.

Understanding Neuropathy

Nerve symptoms can feel very different from ordinary muscle or joint pain.

People may describe neuropathy-type symptoms as burning, tingling, pins-and-needles, numbness, unusual sensitivity or weakness. Symptoms may affect the feet, legs, hands or other areas depending on which nerves are involved.

The original source page is titled “Neuropathy,” but its body is almost entirely copied spinal-decompression content. This rebuild separates neuropathy education from the DRX9000 treatment page and makes the evaluation step the focus.

New or rapidly worsening neurological symptoms need prompt attention.

Sudden weakness, loss of coordination, new bowel or bladder dysfunction, rapidly progressive numbness, facial droop, speech difficulty or other emergency neurological symptoms should be evaluated urgently.

Available Care Options

Treatment depends on what appears to be causing the nerve symptoms.

Modern Spine Health and Injury Care offers several conservative services, but they are not automatically appropriate for every neuropathy complaint. The treatment plan should follow the examination findings.

DRX9000 Decompression

The source material links some neuropathy symptoms with disc-related spinal problems. For selected patients, non-surgical spinal decompression may be considered when a disc-related source is suspected.

Chiropractic Care

A musculoskeletal and spinal evaluation may help determine whether movement restriction or another mechanical factor appears relevant to the patient's symptoms.

Laser Therapy

The practice offers Class 4 laser therapy, which may be incorporated into a conservative care plan when appropriate to the patient's individual presentation.

Possible Sources

Neuropathy-type symptoms can come from different places.

Spine-Related Nerve Irritation

Disc or other spinal problems can sometimes irritate nerve roots and produce symptoms that travel into an arm or leg.

Peripheral Nerve Problems

Symptoms can also involve nerves farther away from the spine, which is one reason numbness or tingling should not automatically be assumed to be a spinal problem.

Medical Causes

Some neuropathy symptoms can be related to underlying medical conditions. When appropriate, additional medical evaluation or referral may be needed.

Mixed Presentations

More than one factor can contribute to a patient's symptoms, making a careful history and examination important before selecting treatment.

Neuropathy FAQ

Common questions about neuropathy symptoms.

People may describe burning, tingling, numbness, pins-and-needles, altered sensitivity or weakness. The exact pattern can vary depending on which nerves are involved.
It can in some patients. The existing source page specifically connects disc degeneration and herniation with symptoms such as leg pain, sciatica and neuropathy, but an evaluation is needed to determine whether that applies to an individual case.
No. Spinal decompression would only make sense for selected patients when the examination suggests a relevant disc-related spinal component. Neuropathy from other causes may require a different approach.
No. Neuropathy can have different causes and individual responses vary, so a specific result or recovery timeline cannot be guaranteed.
