DRX9000 Decompression
For certain disc-related presentations, non-surgical spinal decompression may be considered after evaluating candidacy.
Back Pain
Non-surgical spinal decompression(DRX9000) is appropriate for individuals who are over the age of 18 and have persistent or recurrent pain. If you have degenerative disc disease, herniated discs, bulging discs, or have failed back surgery syndrome, you may qualify for this treatment.
The treatments typically take between 20-30 minutes and you will have these sessions for several weeks. Depending on your progress, we may decrease these sessions as the pain or condition decreases.
If you choose non-surgical spinal decompression for your condition, you may start to feel a reduction in your symptoms and pain within the first week. A more notable change is typically felt in the second week of your care plan, depending naturally on your condition.

Back Pain Care
Low back pain can involve discs, joints, muscles, nerves or a combination of factors. Modern Spine Health and Injury Care begins with an individual evaluation to help determine what may be contributing to your symptoms and which conservative treatment options may be appropriate.
The same symptom can come from different structures. An evaluation helps determine whether the complaint appears more consistent with a disc-related problem, joint restriction, muscular irritation or another source.
Understanding Back Pain
Back pain can feel sharp, aching, stiff, localized or radiating. It may be associated with movement, sitting, standing, lifting or other activities, and the pattern can vary significantly from person to person.
Because several structures can produce similar symptoms, the first goal is to understand the history of the complaint and evaluate the areas that may be involved.
Severe or rapidly worsening weakness, loss of bowel or bladder control, numbness in the saddle region, major trauma, fever with severe back pain, or other emergency symptoms should be evaluated promptly.
What May Be Involved
Disc degeneration, bulging or herniation can be associated with localized back pain or symptoms that travel into the leg. The DRX9000 page on this site specifically discusses disc-related conditions and sciatica.
Restricted or painful spinal movement can contribute to back discomfort and may be evaluated as part of a chiropractic examination.
Muscles and other soft tissues can become irritated from activity, injury, repetitive strain or altered movement patterns.
When pain, tingling, numbness or other symptoms travel into the buttock or leg, nerve involvement may need to be considered during the evaluation.
